What items can I ship?
You can ship barrels (55 or 77 gallon), furniture, appliances, boxes, and general cargo. Prohibited: firearms, flammable materials, perishables, drugs, and counterfeit goods.
How are prices calculated?
Barrels are fixed price: 55 Gal $80, 77 Gal Jumbo $90. All other items (furniture, appliances, custom boxes) are priced by cubic feet — length × width × height ÷ 1728 × $8/cu ft.
When is the next container departure?
We depart every 2 weeks on a Friday from Toronto to Kingston port, Jamaica. Check the departure banner at the top of the page for the next exact date.
How long does shipping take?
Approximately 3–5 weeks from drop-off to availability at Kingston port, including ocean transit and Jamaican customs clearance. The receiver collects from port in Jamaica.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Interac e-Transfer and cash at the warehouse. We do not accept credit cards or online payments at this time.
What is the pickup vs drop-off option?
Drop-off at our Mississauga warehouse is always free. We also offer pickup from your door pickup for a fee based on your postal code distance from our warehouse.
Can I track my shipment?
Yes! You can track your shipment at shiptojamaica.ca/track using your order number and the name used when booking. You'll receive email updates at every stage.
Are there customs fees in Jamaica?
Customs duties and General Consumption Tax (GCT) are the responsibility of the receiver in Jamaica. We help prepare customs documentation and advise on common item duties.

SERVICE AGREEMENT — ShipToJamaica.ca

Agreement & Capacity: This Agreement governs all services provided by ShipToJamaica.ca, operated by Vastus Inc. ("Company"), to the Customer ("Shipper"). By booking, payment, tendering goods, or authorizing pickup, the Customer agrees to these terms. The Customer confirms they are of legal age and capacity to enter a binding contract under Ontario law. This is a legally binding contract.

Nature of Service — Not a Common Carrier: ShipToJamaica.ca is a freight consolidator and logistics service provider. It is NOT a common carrier as defined under Ontario law or federal transportation legislation. ShipToJamaica.ca provides pickup, warehousing, consolidation, and ocean freight forwarding from Canada to Jamaica and may engage third-party carriers and agents to perform all or part of the services.

Marine Liability & Applicable Law: International ocean shipments may be subject to the Marine Liability Act (Canada) and the Hague-Visby Rules where applicable. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the parties agree that ShipToJamaica.ca's liability shall be governed by the terms of this Agreement, and the Customer waives any right to claim in excess of the limits set out herein.

Customs: The receiver must handle all customs clearance, documentation, duties, taxes, GCT, demurrage, port charges, and fees in Jamaica. ShipToJamaica.ca is not responsible for customs delays, seizures, refusal of entry, or additional charges imposed by Jamaican or Canadian authorities.

Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ShipToJamaica.ca's liability is limited to the lesser of: (a) $500 CAD per shipment; (b) the declared value of the shipment; (c) the amount paid for the shipment; or (d) the proven value of the damaged portion only. ShipToJamaica.ca is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, customs delays, port charges, seizures, or losses caused by the Receiver's failure to clear customs.

Packaging: The Customer is solely responsible for packing suitable for consolidated ocean freight. ShipToJamaica.ca is not liable for concealed damage, internal breakage, leakage, or missing contents inside sealed packages.

Delays: All transit timelines are estimates only. ShipToJamaica.ca is not liable for delays caused by weather, customs, port congestion, vessel schedules, government action, or any circumstances beyond its control.

Claims: Visible damage must be reported within 48 hours of release. Concealed damage or missing contents within 5 days. All claims must be submitted in writing with photos and supporting documentation within 9 months. Failure to preserve packaging or provide documentation may result in denial.

Indemnification & Lien: The Customer agrees to indemnify ShipToJamaica.ca from any claims, penalties, fines, or legal costs arising from inaccurate declarations, prohibited goods, or breach of this Agreement. ShipToJamaica.ca has a lien on all goods for unpaid charges and may retain possession until payment is made in full.

Electronic Signature: By typing your full legal name below, you are providing a valid electronic signature in accordance with Ontario's Electronic Commerce Act, 2000, S.O. 2000, c. 17, and agree to be legally bound by this Service Agreement.

Governing Law: This Agreement is governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Disputes shall first be attempted to resolve directly, then by mediation if necessary, before proceeding to the courts of Ontario.

In the rare case of seizure by Jamaica Customs, we notify both shipper and receiver immediately. Items seized due to prohibited goods are the responsibility of the shipper.
